How to Turn Your Passion into Profit

So, you want to build a business around your passion? Great idea! When you love what you do, you will hardly run out of ideas. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy but once you get started the passion you have will keep you going for a long time.

How do you turn your passion into profit?

Well, for starters, you need to take a pen and paper to jot down what your passions are. Yes, you read right - you can have more than one passion. Once this is done then you can proceed to the next step.

Decide how you are going to make money doing what you love. This is pretty much straightforward. For instance:

  • If your passion is writing, you can set up a blog, publish a book on Amazon Kindle or become a freelance writer.
  • If you love being in front of a camera, consider setting up a youtube channel.
  • If you are the type that is always on social media 24 hours a day, consider taking a course on udemy and become a social media manager.

The list is endless. I have some weird and rare passion. I am very passionate when it comes to organising and I never knew how much this could fetch me until I became a virtual assistant. You will be surprised how much my clients are willing to pay so I can organise their stuff like emails, files etc.

I’m also a goal-getter so my clients also pay me well to supervise and make sure that their projects are on track.

I know some people, especially moms like myself who spend most of their time on social media commenting and liking posts for free (no judging) and I’m like “Madam, you can get paid to do this job. Stop wasting your time!

I have a friend who writes really well. This lady can analyze any trending topic on social media. I convinced her to take a course on udemy.com. Well, she did and now she has a couple of books on amazon and she just can’t stop writing. She said that the money she makes from amazon kindle is like free money because she loves writing and getting paid for it is amazing.

Finally, if you are the type that isn’t sure of what your passion is, check out this article about passion and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
